Sisterly Love

This site is used to post about pets, their antics, and how they are doing.

Lily’s all trimmed up and looking more like a rat. One of her nicknames happens to be “la ratta.” Luckily, her fur grows fast and she’ll have her fluffy fur back soon.

It’s been two weeks since my Etter had her surgery to remove her tumors. Luckily they were not cancerous so as of right now she is fine but we can pretty much count on them coming back. We just don’t how soon or how long it will take for the tumors to come back. Esther had a slow recovery and wouldn’t eat or move for the first couple of days. It was so sad seeing her like that. She had to be hand feed and picked up and taken outside to go to the bathroom. Esther finally started to get back to herself a few days ago and now two weeks later, she seems to be as happy as ever and running around and playing with the other dogs.

We’ve been traveling so much, we’ve let Lily get shaggy. Tomorrow we’re going on a much needed trip to the groomers. I think Lily is cuter with longer hair but it gets in her eyes and she gets dingleberries so I’m sure she likes it better when her hair is trimmed.

My kitty just hanging out in the sink. He will be in the sink the entire time I am getting ready for work/school. But he often thing your movements are you playing with him so sometimes he is distracting.

I just got home from my long weekend in Galena, IL. Spending the day in bed with Penelope & Lily. Wednesday, I leave for California at 5am so I’m giving Lily extra love the next 2 days because we’ll be gone for a week and I know Lily is going to be sad.

My daughter has new sleeping schedule and has been waking us up before 6am everyday. As you can see in Lily’s face, she is not a fan. I have a very busy morning and I leave for Chicago at 1pm so I’m so doing my homework in bed so Lily can get her cuddle time before I leave.

Sometimes I think Lily thinks she’s a cat. She’s always laying on the back of the couch and always wants to be right in your face. She does not know what personal space is. She’s one annoying little doggy but you got to love her.

So I took Esther to the Vet and they said they can remove the tumors if I want but they can’t say how long it will take for them to come back but they most likely will. I take her on Tuesday morning to get the tumors removed so she can be more comfortable. The tumors are a little over a pound and are affecting the way she sits and lays so I just want her to be comfortable. Since the tumors aren’t cancerous, I’m hoping everything will be fine afterwards.
